Understanding crystalline glucosamine

Glucosamine is a natural amino acid monosaccharide and is one of the components that make up joint cartilage1,Under normal circumstances, the body use glucosamine for cartilage repair. However, when cartilage becomes less flexible or even begins to break down, it causes pain.2

Glucosamine comes in several forms, including glucosamine hydrochloride, glucosamine sulphate, and N-acetylglucosamine. Glucosamine sulphate includes crystalline glucosamine sulphate and non-crystalline glucosamine sulphate.3

Different types of Glucosamine3

A clinical study has confirmed that crystalline glucosamine sulfate can supplement the cartilage matrix, help repair cartilage, and delay joint degradation.1

Take crystalline sulfate glucosamine as an example, with the stablized molecular state3 , it is easily absorbed by the body. 4,5* Besides slowing down joint-space narrowing by 5-fold 5, it can also effectively remain in the body for a longer period of time.5
